Keeping it Sweet

Hugh & Sharon are delighted to announce the opening of their new chocolate shop, SWEET FINK, on Saturday 1st October, just a few doors down the road from their fine foods store FINK, which was relaunched in June.

A new chocolate boutique for life’s little luxuries

With a hand-picked selection of the finest chocolates, available in favourite flavours, as well as more unusual varieties such as earl grey or cardamom, Sweet Fink will offer a unique opportunity for customers to select beautifully packaged, handmade chocolates.

‘Our customers at FINK really appreciate provenance and high quality, as well as the opportunity to buy beautiful gifts, and this encouraged our idea of opening a more focused chocolate shop,’ says Hugh Fink, after whom their fine food shop is named. ‘When an ideal location became available just down the road, we couldn’t resist.’

‘I’ve always had a soft spot for good quality chocolate,’ adds Sharon Longcroft, co-director of FINK. ‘We’ll have interesting and delicious products for our visitors to sample and we’re hoping the wonderful taste of the finest chocolate will bring a smile to the face and a tingle to the taste-buds!’

SWEET FINK also sells an assortment of other sweet treats, including single origin chocolate bars from Yorkshire company Lauden; exquisite handmade chocolates from German brand Confiserie Lauenstein and Italian confectionery specialist La Perla, and unique chocolates from Vietnamese company Marou, who hand make their chocolate in a factory on the outskirts of Ho Chi Minh City, with beans that were hand-picked on a skinny strip of an island called Tan Phu Dong in the Mekong Delta.

The focus for SWEET FINK will always be on fabulous independent producers who share their passion for provenance and great taste.
